Stuart Ross sculptures are conceived and crafted in the renowned Ross studio in Greenwich Village, New York City. Whenever possible, reclaimed and recycled and antique materials are used, lessening the footprint made on our planet, and providing a richness and history that is tangible in the finished product.
Definitions:
Electric: These Sculptures are charged by electricity. They have a cord and plug that fits perfectly into a standard North American Home (120 volt outlet).
Kinetic: These Sculptures have movement. Sometimes the movement is powered by motors, blowers, or gravity, while others move by the strength of the observer.
Interactive: These Sculptures invite the observer to be part of the action and allow both the art and the patron to affect each other. They are truly “Hands on”, and amazing fun.
Mixed Media: These sculptures are built from a variety of materials. Stuart Ross Mixed Media sculptures can contain: Wood, Steel, Aluminum, Copper, Stone, Fabric, Glass, Plastic, Electrical components, Paints, Dyes, love, and anxiety.
